A short film shedding light on the disillusionment within the world of Apple Geniuses.
The short film features real ex-Apple Genius Bar employees who have since left the company and the Apple ecosystem.
Award-winning writer and director, Eric Wareheim gives us an intimate glimpse into the lives of these self-proclaimed “Apple nerds,” answering why and how they finally escaped Apple’s infamous walled garden. These ‘Former Geniuses’, as the short film is eponymously named, have stated that “the grass is in fact greener on the other side”
With questions swirling around the validity of Apple Intelligence and other delays in Apple’s innovation pipeline, “Former Genius” hopes to leave viewers questioning their own blind loyalty to Apple and consider the openness and innovation that Samsung uniquely offers.
Talent Approach
We did a casting call to find ex-Apple Geniuses who had worked at an Apple Store within the past 5 years. The ex-Geniuses were asked to submit a video recounting their history with Apple, why they left and their experience with Samsung.
The film launched in all platforms and medias, including movie theaters across the US.
